Edible crab Cancer pagurus The edible crab can be found along the entire UK coast. You can find it hiding under stones and algae in the tidal zone, but it has also been caught in fishing nets on 300-400 meters depth. During the winter the larger crabs tend to leave the tidal zone while smaller individuals stay shallow.
