Parking directions: In the carpark shown below just past Salen on the road to Ardnamurchan.
From Glasgow / Edinburgh: Approx 3 hours drive. Follow local directions below to Crianlarich. From Edinburgh head North (M9/A84/A85) via Stirling and Callander to Crianlarich. From Glasgow head for Loch Lomond along A82 (turning right at Tarbet) to Crianlarich.
From Crianlarich, follow A82 through Glencoe and Ballachulish following signs for Onich / Fort William. Continue through the village of Onich and just a short distance out of Onich; turn left at the signpost for the Corran Ferry. Take the short regular ferry crossing to Ardgour and turn immediately left off the ferry ramp onto the A861 marked for Strontian. Continue through Strontian on the A861 for approx a further 10 miles and take a left hand turn onto the B8007, which immediately takes you into the village of Salen. Multimap

Site entry/exit: The entry is easy, over the cobbles into about 1-2m
Underwater directions: Head over the cobbles into about 1-2m, then it drops down to 5m and further out drops down to 20m over a solid rock reef. Heading further out will take you past 30m but at this particular site there's not much more to see but the occassional langoustine. Crystal clear water, only the gentlest of currents at ebb or flow. Great for training as there's lots to see and some big mooring blocks to look under for the wee brown squatties. Featherstars of all colours can be found around the site. . Plenty more scope for deeper dives as the chart shows (and we had a looksee) 50m within easy reach of the shore at some of the nearby rocky outcrops that jut out into the loch. Link
