Travel directions:    Leaving Glasgow on the A82 turn left at Tarbet onto the A83, through Arrocher and over the rest and be thankfull,  turn left onto the A815, from this junction its 8.7 miles to the A886 then for 4 miles to the turnoff for the B8000 then for 9.8 miles to Thirteen mile reef. ( Half a mile past Gortein point) Tripple reef lies between Gortein point and Thirteen mile reef at Triple reef  the telephone pole has a No. 34 on it. 

 

       

 

Parking directions:  Park in the layby next to the telephone pole there is enough room for 3 cars.

Site entry/exit:  Follow the path down onto the rocks be careful climbing down the rocks as it can be slippy. Entry and exit can be made difficult at low tide and if there is a bit of a swell.

 

                

 

Underwater directions:   The first reef lies directly off of the shore and drops down to about 12m. The second reef lies slightly further north and runs from 15-25m. The third reef lies about 35m and is quite featureless. The best life is found around the top reef.
