Other comments:   It was Attacked and sunk by patrol drifters "Pilot me" and "Young fred" on 17th April 1918. UB III boats carried 10 torpedoes and were armed with one 88 mm deck gun. (possibly a 105mm gun)

Reports :    HMS Herald  12 May 1981. The site was examined on 12 November 1980 at 55 14 47.6N, 005 15 08.2W. The least echossounder depth was 40.3 in a general depth of 47 metres. No scouring ws observed. The side scan sonar indicated a height of 7 metres, and length of 50 metres (164 feet) approximately. The vessel is lying with its keel on an orientation of 170/350 degrees. It is an intact wreck with shoals of fish in close vicinity.

 

Reports :   HMS Mermaid  9 November 1966   The side was investigated echosounder and sonar. The echosounder gave the least depth of 42.3 metres with a possible side echo to 38.4 metres. The general depth of the sea bed was 46.9 metres. No scouring was observed. The site is thought to be a small wreck. Its position was fixed by decca.......10 May 1968. The vessel was not found at 55 13 00N, 005 55 00w. The sea is very deep, and the sea bed peaked.
