Plaice Pleuronectes platessa The Plaice has pronounced red or orange spots on its body and a white underside. The Plaice can be found around most of the british coast line and prefers shell-grit or sandy bottoms and can usually be found near mussel beds. These fish are normally captured casting at long range from the shore. Baits: ragworm, lugworm and will also except Peeler crab in Spring.
