Pollack

Pollack have large eyes, golden-green flanks, tiny scales and a big mouth with a protruding bottom lip. Has cod-like appearance and lateral line which curves smoothly over pectoral fin. Bigger fish can be found out at sea around wrecks and reefs , the smaller fish can normally be found around pier walls and other rocky marks. This photograph was taken at conger alley on the north of Loch Long.
