Underwater directions: Sandy area in the harbour, with a large rock in the middle, to the north there is an area of rocks Sandy area in the harbour, with a large rock in the middle, to the north, there is an area of rocks with swim-throughs, intermingled with sand. There is also a nature trail although this has many routes and it can be difficult to navigate a circle. It’s a voluntary marine conservation area and there are lobsters, crabs, starfish, cuttlefish as well as shoals of fish and coral. There is also a canon about 10m beyond the end of the harbour wall.

Accommodation: The Fort has a range of rooms, A harbour-side twin-berth room with en-suite facilities. Dormitories and self-catering.
Other comments: Can be closed off-season so you need to call and check first Tel 01752 408021. Diving equipment can be hired on the harbourside, as well as air and Nitrox and there is also a decompression chamber on site.
Pub: There is a bar onsite and is open from 5 pm until late.
Cafe: The restaurant onsite provides hot food, drinks and snacks.
