Type of Dive: Steep-sided, freshwater river pool dive at the top of Loch Lomond.

Suggested Experience: Sport / AOW

Travel directions: From Glasgow on the M8 head over the Erskine Bridge and through Dumbarton on the A82 past the top of Loch Lomond. Parking for the Falls can be found 2miles past the Drover’s Inn

Parking directions: There is a small, but busy car park throughout the day due to the steady stream of tourists. As such, if you’re going to dive here go very early. From Glasgow: 50 miles, 1hr 5mins

Tides: None but watch out for the river going into spate.

Depth: 8m

Site entry/exit: The pool is most easily entered where the stream exits the pool.  This requires carrying kit down the steep path to the right of the falls viewpoint

Underwater directions: It’s a small pool and is best explored around the edges where there are overhangs and small caverns. There is little life including small trout and Anguilla Anguilla, Scotland’s critically endangered river eel.
