Underwater directions:  The reef can be dived from the shore, and from a boat. the reef can be awkward to find so easier to locate the reef with a sounder before descending. The wall is easy to find by heading straight out from the exit point. One of the finest dives in the area with amazing topography and an abundance of life.

Other comments: Good dive site when you have a lot of divers as there is nobody to disturb. This is also a good place for a base to dive the sites you can only reach with a Rhib. There are nine small islands, some rocky and covered with heather and some just smooth green grass, north east and north west of Carnoch bay.

Carnoch bay

Dive report:  Karon Wylie 20/10/24 We enter at the slip which is around 8mtrs depending on tide. Then continue round keeping the slate wall on your right shoulder to whatever depth we've planned for & back or have gone all the way around which can be a 2hr dive if you potter along like me

Dive report:  Matt Yates 20/10/24 if lazy down the slip and follow the slope on the right and around until its time to turn around. or walk to the point and dive to the right descending to the desired depth and either come out where u started or in the bay
