Type of Dive: Cwm-yr-Eglwys (pronounced 'koomer-egg-lewis') on the east side of Dinas is a very easy shore dive in the Sand, shingle and reefs around the cove.
Suggested Experience: Novice in good conditions.
Travel directions: Cwm Yr Eglwys is 5 miles North East of the town of Fishguard and is approached via the A487 trunk road there are signposts to Cwm Yr Eglwys (about 1 mile along a single track road.
Parking directions: No cars are allowed on the beach or close so you have to park In the village centre. (private car park) There is a toilet here.

Site entry/exit: Entry to the beach is possible by the slipway as there is a seawall all along the front, then its a simple walk into the water.
Underwater directions: Head out to The first reef is generally around 6metres and then to the main reef wall, it is a lovely 8m high wall with overhangs and crevices. There is a cavern section that is really just an extended archway that is about 15 metres long and pops out into a narrow gulley which is wide but shallow.

Site Hazards: There is a sailing club in the village so you get occasional boat traffic to an SMB is advised if you are in the middle of the bay

Other comments: There is a small shallow stream running down the right-hand side into the sea. On the opposite side of the cove, there is a small waterfall so the fresh water is probably helping with the diversity of sea life. You can also dive Pwllgwaelod just 1 mile away.
