Distance from Southampton: 71 Miles 2Hrs Head to Weymouth and stay on the A354 over the bridge to Portland. At the double roundabout take the queens rd heading for Eastland and the Wakeham rd to the lighthouse car park.

Tides:  Tide tables  Slack water only lasts about 45 minutes, and it is IMPORTANT to dive slack, the best time to dive is 4 hours after H.W. Portland. Beware of the tide starting to run it picks up very quickly and you can get swept offshore

Depth: 30m+

Site entry/exit: The entry/Exit point is just north of the rock.

Pulpit rock entry/exit

Underwater directions: Head south to the rock and explore in and around the rocks and cracks staying close to the rock. The currents get stronger as you go further from the shore.

Site Hazards: The currents here are very dangerous.
