Type of Dive: Shore wreck dive in Ballyhenry Bay, Strangford Lough.
Wreck Information: The SV Zarina was a 3 masted barque and is sitting upright on a sloping bottom with only the lower part of the hull showing, its sheathed in copper and the planking is held together with 600mm long x 12mm Dia brass pins but most of the pins have been removed.
Suggested Experience: Novice with a guide
Travel directions: From the Portaferry pier head north for 1.2 miles on the Lough shore road.
Parking directions: Park at the side of the road as in the picture below.

Tides: Tide tables best dived slack water which is approximately 2hrs after Belfast HW
Depth: 12m
Site entry/exit: Simple entry/exit over a small seawall protected by rocks and onto a small stone beach as in the picture below.
Underwater directions: From the shore fin out to the buoy and drop onto the wreck.
Air & Nitrox: DV Diving
Site Hazards: Current if straying further from the wreck and when the tide has turned after LW there can be a dangerous current which can make it difficult to
get back to the shore.
